About GWU SWE

The Society of Women Engineers at The George Washington University is a student organization that promotes female empowerment in STEM and fosters a community for female engineers to feel supported, encouraged, and included in a male-dominated industry. We work with various on-campus engineering, science, and tech related organizations to spread STEM awareness and create networks across GW. Some exciting events we've participated in include the WE National and Local Conferences, the 2019 IP Champions Gala at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a talk with MIT/NASA Researcher Angie Crews, and much more! SWE also participates in different outreach projects including work with the Seaton Elementary School and professional development events like resume workshops and mock interviews. We hope through SWE you will find a place where you feel welcomed, can meet a group of talented, smart women, and can grow both personally and professionally.
